Not when Angela and Devens went to bed.
Not when the strategic part of Saturday night slowed down.
Not while Drew and Melody were still talking in the backyard.

Melody eventually made her way into the Have-Not room.
Drew poked his head inside.

Sunday morning eventually gave the Big Brother 28 house something that had absolutely nothing to do with nominations, alliances, the Power of Veto, BB Blockbuster or somebody lying about who they would nominate next week.
Rain.
Actual rain.
Not water dumped on somebody during The Wall.
Not a competition effect.
Not a storm production forced everybody inside to avoid.
Natural rain falling into an open Big Brother backyard while the houseguests were actually allowed to go outside and enjoy it.
That distinction is important.
Drew ran laps through it.
Devens sang and danced in it.
Devens played bags in it.
Yash came outside excited about it.
Barrett and Devens hung around outside.
Melody watched the rain from the doorway.
Angela could not believe they were getting rain at the Big Brother house.
For a stretch Sunday morning, the biggest event in the house was literally the weather.
And it was great.
There is something strangely human about watching people who have spent 62 days living inside an artificial television environment become excited about something as ordinary as rain.
The backyard is their outside world.
They cannot walk down the street.
They cannot jump in a car.
They cannot go to Target.
They cannot sit on a restaurant patio.
They cannot decide they need some air and leave the CBS lot.
When the backyard closes for competitions, they lose even that.
So when actual rain started falling Sunday morning and Big Brother left the yard available to them, several houseguests treated it like an event because, inside this house, it basically was one.
Angela said she had never seen rain at the Big Brother house before.
It was not unprecedented.
But she was right about how unusual it felt.
The closest clearly documented comparison I found came on July 31, 2011 during Big Brother 13.
The houseguests were surprised that morning because it was the first rain they had experienced since entering the house.
As the rain intensified, Brendon eventually went outside and danced in it.

The real battle is whether Devens can convince Yash that the five-person newbie ceasefire is not actually an equal five.

Yash is working with them.
He is not inside that core.
And while Devens was telling Yash not to blindly trust it, Barrett was simultaneously talking to the cameras about hoping Drew or Melody wins the next HOH.

He owns the Veto.
He is safe.
He has won three Veto competitions.
He is inside the newbie ceasefire.
He is outside Barrett’s preferred FAP trio.
And Devens spent Sunday morning making sure Yash understands that difference.
Yash does not have to use the Veto for that conversation to matter.
He only has to remember it.
Final Thoughts
The last Big Brother 28 Day 61 Going Early Day 62 Live Feeds Update ended at approximately 2:50 AM PT.
That is where this one began.
For several hours?
Almost nothing.
Taylor talked in her sleep.
The Have-Not bed creaked.
The house slept.
Then the backyard opened.
And it rained.
Real rain.
Natural rain.
Drew ran through it.
Devens danced in it.
Devens played bags in it.
Yash came outside excited.
Barrett hung around outside.
Melody watched from the doorway.
Angela could not believe she was seeing it.
And for a little while, eight people who spend almost every waking hour thinking about votes, nominations, competitions, alliances and betrayal got to enjoy something completely ordinary.
That is what made it special.
The closest clearly documented comparison came on July 31, 2011 during Big Brother 13, when the houseguests were similarly surprised by rain, Brendon danced outside in it and he and Rachel later played basketball in the rainy backyard.
Approximately 15 years.
That is how far back you have to go for the cleanest documented comparison.
Then the Big Brother 28 game returned.
Barrett still has Angela, Dee and Devens nominated.
Yash still owns the Power of Veto.
The Veto ceremony has not happened.
Yash is still overwhelmingly expected to leave the nominations alone.
Devens is still the preferred target for much of the newbie side.
Dee remains the major backup.
Angela currently appears safer relative to both.
BB Blockbuster can still blow the plan apart.
But Sunday morning added something important underneath all of it.
Devens started working Yash.
Not because Yash suddenly appears ready to save him.
Because Devens can see what Yash eventually needs to see.
The five-person newbie ceasefire contains a three-person core.
Barrett wants Drew and Melody around.
Yash is useful to that group right now.
Three Veto wins make him dangerous later.
Drew’s middle game is becoming obvious.
Everybody is already thinking past the ceasefire.
The five is real.
The cracks are real too.
That is what makes the next few rounds interesting.
The rain eventually stops.
Ceasefires do too.
At this article’s 12:30 PM PT cutoff, nothing official had changed.
Same HOH.
Same nominees.
Same Veto holder.
Same expected Veto outcome.
But Devens had started planting something with Yash that could matter later.
And after one of the rarest ordinary mornings the Big Brother backyard has given us in years, the game went right back to what it always becomes.
