Big Brother 28 Day 27 Veto fallout exposed seven brutal truths about the Week 4 power structure as Haley finalized Lyric as Taylor’s likely replacement nominee, Kamu fought to put Mallory on the block instead and Dee quietly gained another secret advantage for The Plants.
Taylor winning the Power of Veto should have been a manageable inconvenience for Haley.
Her primary target, Drew, remained nominated.

She will remove herself from the block.
She no longer needs Haley’s reassurance, the majority’s permission or another uncertain vote arrangement to survive the week.
Taylor protected herself.
That sounds obvious, but it matters because Taylor entered Week 4 with relationships rather than structure.
She is close to LaTrice.
She exchanges information with Yash.
She has relationships with Melody, Mallory and Lyric.
None of those connections prevented Haley from nominating her as the easiest available third option.
Taylor voted with the house to evict Jason.
She refused to join the attempted vote flip.
She tried to avoid becoming a visible enemy of the majority.
The majority rewarded her caution by placing her on the block one day later.
The Veto win corrected Taylor’s immediate problem.
It did not fix the larger weakness in her game.

This completely changes the secrecy surrounding the week.
The house spent days suspecting Drew, Mallory or Kamu possessed the power.
Drew’s comments created even more suspicion.
None of them had it.
Dee did.
The Plants now secretly hold two major advantages.
Devens possesses the Diamond Power of Veto, allowing him to save a nominee and name the replacement at an eligible Veto meeting.

She can wait for the correct moment.
She could pay someone to cast a specific eviction vote.
She could attempt to influence an HOH nomination.
She could persuade a Veto holder to use or withhold the Power of Veto.
She could create distrust by making an offer and allowing the recipient to wonder whether refusing it damages their relationship.
The $5,000 is meaningful enough to tempt someone without guaranteeing obedience.
Its strongest use may not involve this week.
Drew already appears likely to leave if he loses the BB Lackluster.
Spending the BB Bribe to secure an eviction the majority can accomplish without it would waste the advantage.

That does not make all of Drew’s reads wrong.
He correctly recognizes that The Plants sit near the center.
He correctly recognizes that the Toolshed is broken.
He correctly recognizes that Melody and Mallory could become parachutes for him and Barrett.
He correctly recognizes that Lyric is becoming an extension of Kamu and Chuk.
Drew’s larger problem is timing.
He helped the majority remove Ashley, Rome and Jason.
He rejected the previous vote flip.
He waited until the alliance nominated him before deciding the structure needed to be destroyed.
Now he wants people he repeatedly refused to protect to believe he will fight beside them.
Drew has valuable information.
He does not possess automatic credibility.
Haley’s HOH Remains Successful Despite Her Complaints
Haley has complained throughout the week.
She complained about being trapped in the HOH room.
She complained about people staying too long.
She complained when Taylor won the Veto.
