The Big Brother 28 Day 67 Live Feeds Update going into early Day 68 begins exactly where the previous update stopped at 12:30 PM PT.
At that point, Yash had a nomination plan.

Barrett went up.

During the afternoon, Yash directly told Devens that he wanted Drew gone. Devens preferred Barrett but was perfectly willing to lose Drew. Drew came out of nominations believing he was the target, and at that point he was reading the week correctly.

Barrett began questioning whether Yash was really telling him the truth.
Drew increasingly convinced himself Barrett would ultimately leave.
Melody was nowhere near as comfortable with Drew’s vote projections.
And by the final reliable late-night update, the reported order had become Barrett first, Drew second and Melody third.
That does not erase the afternoon.
Drew absolutely was Yash’s stated target.
It means the most important development of Day 67 was not merely three predictable nominations becoming official.

Yash and Taylor openly discussed Taylor becoming the replacement if three nominations continued. They also worked through a more unusual situation where Taylor could become unavailable and Yash believed the numbers could eventually allow Devens to become the replacement.
That conversation matters because the replacement language needs to be precise.
If Drew, Melody or Barrett wins the Veto and removes himself or herself, Taylor is the available replacement under the current structure.
That does not mean Taylor is the only possible replacement under every imaginable Veto result.
If Taylor herself wins the Veto and uses it on one of the nominees, she becomes protected as the Veto holder. With Yash unable to nominate himself and the other two nominees already on the block, the remaining-player math could force the game into the Bribe’s mathematical exception and make Dee or Devens the only available replacement choices.
That has not happened.
Taylor has not won the Veto.

For all the complicated possibilities, Yash remained clear about one thing Friday afternoon.
He did not want to nominate Taylor.

That tells us where Taylor stands with him.
The BB Bribe constrains Yash.
His relationship with Taylor guides what he wants to do inside those constraints.

The result Devens liked least was Melody leaving.
That means he had room to let Yash take his preferred shot without needing to turn Friday afternoon into a fight.
That is a very different position from where Devens sat under Barrett’s HOH.
Drew Started Campaigning Before Nominations Were Official
Drew knew enough to start working.
He went to Dee.
He promised loyalty.
He offered himself as a shield.
He understood Yash and Taylor wanted him out and tried to give Dee a reason to keep him around.
The pitch is not ridiculous.
Drew can absolutely be useful as a shield.
He has relationships with almost everybody.
He creates uncertainty.
He can win.
He is more likely than Melody to draw attention in front of someone else.
The problem is that being useful and being trustworthy are not the same thing.
Drew has spent most of Big Brother 28 making sure he had options everywhere.
For a long time, that was good Big Brother.
At final seven, everybody has enough information to start comparing those options.
The middle only works while both sides believe the person in the middle is leaning toward them.
Once both sides start believing he will eventually betray them, the middle becomes the most obvious place to shoot.
Melody Was Already Starting to Separate Her Game From Drew’s
While Drew was trying to repair his position with Dee, Melody was talking to Taylor.
Her reaction to what she had learned about Drew was not to blindly defend him.
She was angry with him.
She indicated she was done with him.
She even talked as though she and Barrett could vote him out.
That is a major problem for Drew.
Yash targeting Drew is dangerous.
One of Drew’s closest people deciding she may no longer need to save Drew is worse.
That does not mean Melody suddenly became loyal to Yash and Taylor.
It means the automatic connection between Melody’s survival and Drew’s survival was weakening.
Taylor had spent Friday morning trying to create exactly that separation.
By Friday afternoon, she was getting somewhere.
The Nomination Ceremony Makes the Morning Board Official
Feeds moved to the nomination ceremony around 4 PM PT.
When they returned shortly after 5 PM PT, the board was official.
Drew.
Melody.

Powers.
Three nominees.
The BB Blockbuster structure.
Have-Nots.
The medieval twist.
Veterans.
The Bribe.
Complications have piled on top of complications.
But none of Melody’s frustration changes the board.
At final seven, there is almost no runway left for complaining about the format.
The useful response is winning.
If Melody wants control over what happens next, Saturday is where she gets it.
Drew Started Talking Himself Into Barrett Leaving
As Friday evening settled down, Drew became increasingly optimistic about one scenario.
Barrett going home.
Drew told Melody that if he won the Veto, she would have his vote to stay.
He also sounded convinced that Barrett was leaving regardless.
That is where Drew’s read became much shakier.
Drew was correct that he had been Yash’s target.
He was not in a position to guarantee what the final vote would look like.
Melody understood that.
She was noticeably less comfortable with Drew’s certainty.
That skepticism was smarter.
Nobody should look at this house after the Angela blindside and assume four votes are already locked several days before eviction.
Barrett Started Wondering Whether Yash Was Lying
Later in the evening, Barrett started talking to the cameras.
Eventually he reached the question that became much more interesting by the end of the night.
Was Yash lying to him?
Was Barrett actually the target?
At first, Barrett had reason to believe Drew was ahead of him.
That was genuinely where Yash stood earlier.
But Barrett also had every reason to question whether he was being told the complete truth.
He had just taken the biggest direct shot of Week 9.
He had demonstrated he could win an HOH.
He had put all three Icons on the block.
He had made enemies.
And unlike Drew, Barrett had just shown that when he receives power, he is willing to point it directly at the biggest structure in the house.
That is not somebody people should casually leave in the final six.
Barrett’s Week 9 HOH Worked — But the Landing Is Getting Worse
Barrett still deserves credit for Week 9.
He took the shot.
Angela, Dee and Devens all touched the block.
Angela left.
The Icons were finally broken.
That happened.
What makes the move painful is what happened immediately afterward.
Devens survived through the BB Lackluster.
Dee survived the vote.
Barrett became outgoing HOH and could not simply win again to protect himself.
Yash took power.
And Yash’s Bribe prevents him from normally nominating either surviving Icon.
Now Barrett is on the block while Dee and Devens watch the week from the other side.
That does not mean Barrett made the wrong move.
It means taking a shot at a structure without removing its most immediately dangerous surviving pieces can produce an ugly counterattack.

Dee did not win Friday’s HOH.
She did not need to.
The move she made weeks ago is still working.
That is what makes the Bribe increasingly impressive.
The value was not simply “Yash cannot nominate Dee.”
The value became broader because the deal covered the protected group and survived until Yash actually won his next HOH.
Now the house has reached final seven.
The nomination pool is tiny.
Every protected name removes a huge percentage of Yash’s available board.
The Bribe has become more valuable as the house has become smaller.
That is delayed return.
Devens Went From Fighting for His Life to Helping Shape Somebody Else’s HOH
Devens’ reversal across two days is ridiculous.
Barrett wanted him gone.
Devens needed the BB Lackluster.
He won.
Then he participated in Angela leaving.

The Bribe kept Devens away from the initial nominations.
Now the three people most immediately dangerous to Devens are all on the block.
And by late Friday night, Yash was telling Taylor that if he received Houseguest’s Choice for the Veto, he wanted Devens playing.
That is not simply surviving the previous week.
That is immediately becoming useful to the new power.
Yash Trusts Dee More — But Wants Devens in the Veto
The late-night Veto-player conversation gave us a useful window into Yash’s thinking.
Yash told Taylor that he trusted Dee more.
But he wanted Devens if he received Houseguest’s Choice because he viewed Devens as the stronger competitor.
That is a smart separation.
Trust is one question.
Who gives you the best chance of preserving the nominations is another.
Yash wants his board intact.
If Devens is more likely to win the competition and keep Drew, Melody and Barrett sitting there, then Devens has more immediate value Saturday.
It does not mean Yash suddenly trusts Devens more than Dee.
He explicitly indicated the opposite.
Taylor Had a Good Friday — Saturday Is the Danger
Taylor escaped the initial nominations.
That was exactly what Yash wanted.
She spent the day helping him navigate the board.
She was part of the target conversations.
She was part of the Veto-player conversations.
She remained the person closest to the HOH.
That is a successful nomination day.
The problem is the Power of Veto.
If Drew wins and takes himself down, Taylor is exposed.

There is one result that makes the board significantly more complicated.
Taylor winning.
If Taylor wins the Veto and does not use it, nothing changes.
If Taylor wins and uses it on Drew, Melody or Barrett, she cannot become the replacement because she holds Veto immunity.
The other two nominees remain on the block.
Yash cannot nominate himself.
That apparently leaves Dee and Devens as the only remaining people who could fill the third chair.
The Bribe normally protects both.
The game would still require a replacement.
That is where the mathematical exception appears capable of overriding the Bribe.
Until it actually happens, there is no reason to present a specific Dee-or-Devens renomination as fact.

A little later, Taylor became emotional.

It appeared to be homesickness rather than game strategy.
Melody and Devens comforted her.
There is no reason to force that moment into an alliance chart.
These people have spent more than two months away from home while simultaneously lying to, voting against and competing with one another.
Sometimes somebody misses home.

It explains why a Barrett-first order would not be surprising.
Analysis should stop there instead of inventing a private motive Yash never stated.
Drew Is Still in Serious Trouble
Barrett moving ahead does not rescue Drew.
Drew is reportedly second.
And Saturday can erase the difference between first and second in one competition.
If Barrett wins the Veto, Drew immediately becomes the biggest available target again.

If Taylor wins, the decision over whether to use it could create the strangest Bribe scenario of the week.
Yash can rank targets all night.
The Veto decides which targets he is actually allowed to choose between.

That needs to remain explicit.
Barrett was asleep earlier.
