The overnight update already established that Drew was in trouble.
Day 67 supplied more of the reason.
During a late-night conversation, Taylor told Melody that the problem was not really Melody or Barrett.
It was Drew.
According to Taylor’s account, she had received information that shortly after the five-person Cease Fire came together, Drew was willing to have Taylor targeted and vote her out.
Taylor also told Melody that Yash had reason to believe Drew was willing to expose his name too.
That does not automatically make every secondhand version of every Drew conversation undeniable fact.
It does something more important inside the house.
Taylor believes it.
Yash believes enough of it to want Drew gone.
And now Melody understands why.
Her reaction was not to immediately dismiss the entire thing.
Instead, she sounded frustrated that Drew had apparently found himself in another version of the same mess.
That is brutal for Drew.
The Bribe Explains the Nominations — It Does Not Explain the Target
Yash’s initial options are limited.
Dee cannot go up.
Devens cannot go up.
Yash does not want Taylor on the initial block.
That naturally leaves Drew, Melody and Barrett.
But Yash still gets to decide which one of those three he actually wants evicted.
That is where Drew’s game becomes the story.

Both believe Drew has been willing to come after them.
Drew has maintained relationships all over the house.

Drew spent most of Big Brother 28 making sure he had options.
Barrett.
Melody.
Devens.
Dee.
Taylor.
Yash.
He could talk to almost everybody.
For a long time, that was a strength.
It gave him flexibility when the house was divided and allowed him to move between structures without completely attaching himself to one side.
At final seven, that style becomes much harder to maintain.
There are fewer rooms.
Fewer people.
Fewer secrets.
And fewer versions of the truth that can survive without somebody eventually comparing them.
Drew’s problem is no longer that he has relationships everywhere.
Good players should.
His problem is that too many people have different stories about what Drew told them he wanted.
That is why the middle finally became dangerous.
Melody Hearing the Case Against Drew Matters More Than Taylor Repeating It to Yash
Taylor does not need to convince Yash.
Yash already wants Drew out.
Melody is different.
She is one of Drew’s closest people.
That makes her the person Taylor actually needs to influence.
Taylor’s framing was smart because she did not tell Melody that Melody was the problem.
She separated her from Drew.
That gives Melody permission to look at this week as something Drew created rather than a declaration of war against everyone around him.
Melody does not have to turn against Drew for that to hurt him.
She only has to stop believing that saving Drew at any cost is automatically good for Melody.
At final seven, that difference can decide an eviction.
Then Melody Carries the Information to Barrett
By Friday morning, Melody was catching Barrett up on what Taylor and Yash had told her.
They had heard Drew would put them up.
Again, that does not make every detail of the allegation proven fact.
It makes the perception real.
More importantly, the information is now traveling inside Drew’s own closest structure.
Taylor and Yash believe Drew is dangerous.
Melody knows why.
Barrett knows what they believe.
That is exactly how a target becomes isolated without anybody needing to scream about it.
Drew’s biggest problem is not simply that Yash controls the nominations.
It is that the people Drew needs most are now discussing why Yash wants him gone.
Drew Already Knows What Is Coming
When Drew talked with Dee Friday morning, he admitted that knowing what was coming felt almost freeing.
That might be the most revealing Drew moment of the morning.
There is no point pretending anymore.
Drew knows Dee cannot go up.
He knows Devens cannot go up.
He knows Taylor is not Yash’s initial option.
He knows where that leaves him.
And he knows Drew and Melody were just blindsided on the Angela vote.
The mystery is basically gone before the ceremony even happens.
That could make Drew dangerous.
A player who believes he is safe has reasons to stay quiet.
A player who knows he is the target has much less to lose.
The Cease Fire Did Not Suddenly Die Friday Morning
The five-person Cease Fire already looked fake before Yash won HOH.
Barrett, Drew, Melody, Taylor and Yash had the numbers to temporarily stick together.
That did not mean they trusted each other.
Taylor and Yash were already looking at Drew.
Drew had his own reasons to eventually come after Yash.
Barrett did not view Yash as somebody who could simply coast forever.
Then the Angela vote exposed the split.
Taylor and Yash voted Angela out with Devens.
Drew and Melody voted Dee out.
Nobody warned Drew and Melody.
That is not a functioning five.
Yash winning HOH did not break the Cease Fire.
It gave the already-existing break consequences.
Barrett’s Week 9 HOH Worked — And the Landing Was Awful
Barrett still deserves credit.
He finally took the shot at the Icons.
Angela, Dee and Devens all went on the block.
Angela went to jury.
The trio broke.
That is a real move.
The problem is who survived.
Devens won when he needed to.
Dee survived the vote.
Angela left.
Then Barrett could not compete for HOH.
Yash won.
The BB Bribe protects Dee and Devens.
So Barrett went from being the HOH who finally attacked the Icons to being one of the three obvious players Yash can nominate while both surviving Icons sit safely outside his initial board.
That does not make Barrett’s move wrong.
It makes the immediate aftermath brutal.
Dee’s $5,000 Keeps Getting More Valuable
Dee survived Thursday by one vote.
Drew and Melody voted to evict her.
She stayed.
Hours later, Yash became HOH while bound by the Bribe agreement.
Now Dee cannot touch his initial block.
Neither can Devens.
The two people who voted against Dee are among the three players expected to go up.
That is an incredible delayed payoff.
Dee did not buy the HOH.
She did not decide Yash’s target.
But she bought restrictions that now shape nearly every possible nomination decision he can make.
There is a difference.
And right now, it is working beautifully for her.
Devens Had One of the Best 24-Hour Reversals of the Season
Devens was Barrett’s primary target.
He needed the BB Lackluster.
He won.
That saved his game.
Then he helped evict Angela.
Then Yash won HOH.
Now the Bribe keeps Devens off Yash’s nomination board.
In less than a day, Devens went from being one competition loss away from jury to watching Barrett, Drew and Melody become the exposed group.
Sometimes the complicated explanation is unnecessary.
Win when you have to win.
Devens did.
Taylor Is Quietly Doing the Political Work for Yash’s HOH
Yash has the HOH key.
Taylor is helping shape what happens after the nominations.
That is arguably the more interesting part of Friday morning.
She did not need to convince Yash that Drew was dangerous.
She needed the people around Drew to understand why Yash sees him that way.
That is exactly what she did with Melody.
If Drew leaves and Melody comes out of the week thinking Drew caused his own downfall, that is much better for Taylor and Yash than Melody coming out believing they personally declared war on her.
Late-game Big Brother is not only about removing somebody.
It is about surviving the relationships left behind after they are gone.
Taylor appears to understand that.
Taylor Is the Planned Replacement — But She Is Not a Replacement Nominee
The initial plan remains Drew, Melody and Barrett.
If Veto forces Yash to name somebody else, Taylor is the planned replacement.
That is where Dee’s Bribe could become painful for Yash.
He wants Taylor safe.
His available nomination pool may not give him that luxury after Veto.
But the game had not reached that point by this update.
No Veto had been won.
Nobody had been removed.
No replacement had been necessary.
So Taylor is not being reported as an official replacement nominee.
She is the planned answer to a problem that does not exist yet.
The Morning Was Weirdly Calm
By late morning, Drew was still able to sit around with Devens, Taylor and Yash and tell stories.
There was no giant Drew-versus-Yash explosion by the cutoff.
That calm should not be mistaken for safety.
It may actually show how obvious the situation has become.
Everybody understands the board.
Drew understands the board.
There is little reason to perform shock before the ceremony.
The real chaos may not start until somebody wins the Power of Veto.

That puzzle was solved overnight.
Drew, Melody and Barrett remain the planned three.
The more important development is what Taylor did after everyone understood the board.
She explained Drew to Melody.
The information Taylor and Yash received about Drew targeting them is now circulating through the people closest to Drew.
Drew himself knows what is coming.
And nobody needed a massive confrontation for the danger to become real.
That is the problem with playing the middle this late.
Eventually the house becomes too small for every relationship to stay separate.
