Another One Bites the Dust: Big Brother 28 Rome Evicted
Well, another eviction night is in the books for Big Brother 28, and it went down exactly how we all knew it would. After successfully sliding into the bushes all week, Jason went on to win the BB Blockbuster competition, taking himself off the block and out of danger. The competition was called “Pirates Booty,” and honestly, at that point, we knew Jason had it in the bag. That left Rome sitting next to Melody, and his fate was sealed. The episode was mostly filler, but it set the stage for the totally predictable Big Brother 28 Rome evicted and Kamu HOH win that followed. Rome is gone, and not a single person was surprised.
Rome’s Simp-tastic Eviction Night
The vote was a brutal 12-to-1 to evict Rome. The speeches were so forgettable I couldn’t tell you a single word that was said. But just when you thought Rome couldn’t simp out any harder, he delivered one of the most cringey exit moments in recent memory. On his way out the door, he made a big production of professing his love for Lyric. It was a whole dramatic affair, which would have been slightly less pathetic if we didn’t immediately see her vote: “I never wanted to do this, but I vote to evict Rome.” You can’t make this stuff up. The man needed years of therapy BEFORE he went into the house, and now? Oof.
A New Reign? Kamu is the New Head of Household
Finally, some good news! The streak of the “Icons,” a.k.a. The Plants, is over! A newbie has finally won an HOH, with Kamu taking the key after the eviction. For a glorious few minutes, it felt like we might actually get some real Big Brother this week. The power was shifting! But that hope was short-lived. The feeds are already showing us that Kamu is getting ready to do the Plants’ dirty work for them. He’s already planning to put Lyric on the block, a move that ensures power players like Dee, Rick Devens, and Angela will stay completely safe. It looks like Kamu’s reign might be a huge disappointment before it even begins.
The Plants Strike Back: Rick Deans Wins the Diamond POV
As if Kamu’s weak HOH plans weren’t bad enough, we got an update that completely flips the week on its head. After Angela and Dee spent time campaigning for America to vote for him, Rick Deans won the BB Time Capsule. And what was inside? The Diamond Power of Veto. That’s right. Even without the HOH, the Plants have secured the most powerful tool in the game for the week. Kamu is HOH in name only, while Rick Devens holds the Diamond POV. The Plants win again, and we’re in for another frustrating week. #ShayWasRight, but I wish I wasn’t.
