Big Brother 28 Day 13 Pre-Veto Ceremony Live Feeds Update: Melody Moves Ahead, Rome and Lyric’s Breakup Ploy Unravels and Jason Becomes the Backup Target

DAY 13 · WEEK 2 · HOH: Rick Devens · NOMS: Jason, Melody, Lyric · POV: Rick Devens

Rick Devens entered Sunday knowing who he wanted to nominate.

The harder decision was determining who should come down first.

By early Sunday afternoon, Melody had moved ahead of Lyric as Devens’ current choice to receive the Power of Veto. Kamu and Drew independently reached the same conclusion. Barrett helped Melody prepare her campaign, and Melody offered Devens the strongest deal placed on the table by any of the three nominees.

She promised not to nominate him during her HOH. She guaranteed him her vote if another player or twist somehow placed him on the block. Most importantly, she agreed to vote Rome out immediately if Devens saved her.

Lyric attempted to counter by presenting herself as finished with Rome and ready to establish an independent game.

The problem was not that every part of Lyric’s frustration was fake. Rome’s loose gameplay genuinely helped place her on the block. The problem was that Rome openly discussed using their apparent separation as part of a coordinated strategy.

Rome wanted Lyric to gain Kamu’s trust.

He wanted Jason to plant a rumor.

He wanted Haley to hear enough of it to begin questioning Kamu.

The public breakup was not simply two people recognizing that their relationship had damaged their games. Rome was attempting to use the appearance of distance to infiltrate the majority and turn Kamu’s relationships against him.

Drew recognized the timing of the breakup as strategic and exposed it to Devens. Kamu, Chuk and Haley compared the similar story Lyric had delivered to different people. Direct feed footage showed Rome and Lyric discussing how to avoid being seen returning to bed together.

Lyric needed the house to believe she was moving away from Rome.

Instead, the performance gave Devens another reason to leave her beside him.

Jason’s campaign took a completely different direction. He apologized to Devens, admitted his structure had collapsed and offered to become a “little minion” for the people controlling the week. Jason made one legitimate argument about the final nomination structure, but most of his pitch confirmed why he had become the backup target if Rome won the BB Blockbuster.

    Rome remained the primary target.

    Jason remained the fallback.

Melody had moved into the lead to receive the Veto, although Devens continued acknowledging that the decision would not become official until Monday’s ceremony.

Status of the strategy: Drew and several members of The Toolshed believe the separation is tactical, while Devens remains suspicious about how much of the fallout is genuine

    Veto ceremony: Expected Monday

Devens’ current plan is to remove Melody and nominate Rome. If Rome remains vulnerable after the BB Blockbuster, Rome leaves. If Rome wins and removes himself, Jason becomes the target over Lyric.

    That remains the expected plan.

It is not an official result until Devens uses the Veto.

Kamu and Devens Establish the Target Order

Kamu went to Devens late Saturday night and asked whether he remained committed to backdooring Rome.

    Devens said yes.

He acknowledged that he had previously promised Rome safety and had meant it when he made the promise. Rome’s actions after Devens became HOH changed the situation.

    Rome exposed relationships.

    He named several people.

He attempted to negotiate protection for himself and the people closest to him while giving Devens enough information to understand how the opposition was structured.

Devens planned to own the broken promise rather than pretend it never happened.

The more important part of the conversation came when Kamu forced him to examine what would happen if Rome won the BB Blockbuster.

Jason had nearly won the Power of Veto. He had demonstrated enough competition ability to become dangerous if he survived, won HOH and decided there was no reason to continue honoring anyone who had placed him on the block.

Lyric did not carry the same immediate threat.

    The target order became clear.

    Rome first.

    Jason second.

If Rome remained vulnerable, Rome would leave.

If Rome saved himself, Jason would become the target over whichever woman remained nominated.

That target order shaped the Veto decision.

If one of the two men was expected to leave while the remaining woman survived, Devens gained more by protecting Melody. She was viewed as more likely than Lyric to win power, influence other players and become dangerous if she remained outside the majority.

    Saving Melody could create something.

Saving Lyric could protect Rome’s closest person without changing where her loyalty belonged.

Rome and Lyric Begin Selling Their Separation

Lyric began telling people that she needed to separate herself from Rome.

Her frustration was not completely manufactured.

Rome’s attempts to protect her exposed how close they were. Devens placed Lyric on the block because Rome had identified her as one of his most important relationships. Lyric was now fighting for safety while Rome remained unnominated and prepared to enter the BB Blockbuster if Devens followed through.

Lyric had every right to recognize that the showmance had damaged her game.

The problem was that Rome and Lyric were not simply creating emotional distance.

They were discussing how the appearance of separation could be used strategically.

Feed footage showed Lyric telling Rome that he needed to remain awake so Kamu would not see them returning to bed together. Another moment showed Lyric continuing to focus on Kamu when Rome entered the room.

That did not prove that every feeling between Rome and Lyric was fake.

It proved that the public presentation of their breakup was being managed.

A genuine separation would not require the couple to coordinate how to avoid being seen going back to bed together.

Rome Reveals His Plan to Use Lyric Against Kamu

Rome went to the hammock shortly after 2 a.m. and began speaking privately to the cameras.

The cam talk started with Rome processing how quickly his position had collapsed. He understood that he needed to recover, win competitions, repair relationships and begin planting information on the other side.

The most important part of the conversation came several minutes later.

Rome said he could use Lyric to gain Kamu’s trust.

His plan was for Lyric to appear separated from him, become closer to Kamu and create an opening Rome could exploit.

Jason would then plant a rumor.

The story would involve Jason suggesting that Kamu was moving behind Rome’s back or showing interest in “Rome’s girl.” Rome hoped Haley would eventually hear enough of it to begin questioning Kamu’s honesty and viewing him as someone operating behind people’s backs.

Rome wanted the rumor to damage Kamu’s relationships and potentially weaken his position inside the majority.

That was the clearest evidence that the public separation was being used strategically.

Rome was not simply accepting that Lyric needed her own game.

He was designing his next move around the access she could gain while appearing to move away from him.

He still referred to Lyric possessively.

He still viewed her social relationships as something he could use.

He still expected Jason to assume additional risk by spreading information that primarily benefited Rome.

The breakup was supposed to make Lyric appear independent.

Rome’s cam talk showed that he still viewed her as an extension of his game.

Rome’s Plan Has Too Many Moving Parts

Rome needed several people to react exactly as he predicted.

Lyric had to convince Kamu that she was genuinely distancing herself.

Kamu had to trust her enough to share useful information.

Jason had to plant the rumor without looking like he was acting on Rome’s behalf.

    Haley had to hear it.

    Haley had to believe it.

Haley then had to blame Kamu instead of questioning where the story originated.

Rome needed all of this to happen while sitting one ceremony away from the block.

    The plan was creative.

It was also too complicated for his position.

Kamu was already comparing information with Chuk and Haley.

Drew was already reporting Rome’s conversations to Devens.

Jason was already nominated and questioning whether Rome had used him.

The people Rome wanted to manipulate were communicating more effectively than the people he intended to use against them.

Rome recognized that his information was leaking.

His answer was to give more information to the same people.

The Breakup Damages Lyric’s Best Argument

Lyric’s strongest campaign was not that she deserved sympathy.

It was that Rome had ruined her position and she was prepared to move forward without him.

    That argument could have worked.

Lyric did not need to claim the relationship was finished. She could have admitted she still cared about Rome while explaining who she would work with, who she would target and how her game would operate independently from his.

Instead, the separation became part of a coordinated performance.

Once Drew exposed that possibility to Devens, every promise Lyric made became harder to evaluate.

She could genuinely be angry with Rome and still be helping him.

She could want the Veto for herself while still planning to reconnect with him immediately afterward.

The house did not need proof that every word Lyric said was false.

Devens only needed enough doubt to decide that leaving her nominated was safer than removing her.

Barrett and Taylor Open Up About Life Inside the House

Sunday’s first notable morning conversation was less about the Veto and more about what the opening weeks had done to the houseguests.

Barrett told Taylor he had barely slept during the previous several days. Taylor described waking up emotional, feeling constantly watched and struggling to find anywhere inside the house where she could disappear from the people and cameras.

They discussed the Have-Not beds, slop and the difference between watching Big Brother from home and living inside the environment.

Barrett admitted that viewers often question why houseguests spend so much time lying around or appearing emotionally drained. Once inside, he understood.

    There was nowhere to leave.

There was no private space to reset.

There was no break from the game.

Taylor said she sometimes felt like a ghost.

The conversation did not alter the Veto plan, but it provided context for the house’s increasingly emotional behavior. These decisions were being made by people living with poor sleep, limited food, constant surveillance and no meaningful privacy.

The environment did not excuse poor strategy.

It made every mistake harder to hide.

Kamu Tells Dee That Melody Has Moved Ahead

Kamu updated Dee on his late-night conversation with Devens.

Devens had considered removing Lyric, but his thinking changed once the group established the target order.

    Rome was first.

    Jason was second.

If the majority expected one of the two men to leave while the remaining woman survived, it made more sense to protect Melody.

The reason was not that Melody was harmless.

    It was the opposite.

Melody was considered more likely than Lyric to win power, influence votes and create a new structure. Giving her the Veto could build goodwill with someone whose future decisions mattered.

Lyric was viewed as less threatening and more attached to Rome. Devens did not need to remove her to protect her from eviction if the majority already preferred eliminating Rome or Jason.

    Dee agreed with Kamu’s explanation.

The move toward Melody was not simply Drew trying to save someone close to him.

Kamu had independently reached the same conclusion.

Drew Exposes the Breakup to Devens

Drew entered the HOH room and told Devens that Rome claimed he and Lyric had broken up.

    Drew immediately questioned the timing.

He believed the separation was intended to improve Lyric’s chances of receiving the Veto. Drew had previously discussed the idea of Rome and Lyric publicly breaking up as a possible strategy, and Rome had reacted as though it could work.

A short time later, the breakup suddenly happened.

Devens concluded that the story was probably nonsense.

Drew also reported that Rome did not intend to campaign directly to Devens. Rome believed Devens had promised not to backdoor him before the nomination fallout. If Devens broke that promise, Rome planned to treat it as permission to target him.

Rome was relying on Lyric’s campaign to influence the Veto decision.

Drew was upstairs explaining why Devens should not trust it.

Drew Makes the Strongest Case for Saving Melody

Drew argued that Melody could be pulled toward Devens.

    She felt burned by Rome.

    She trusted Drew and Kamu.

She had a realistic chance of winning HOH.

If Devens removed Melody, he could present the Veto as an olive branch and give her a reason to direct her anger toward Rome, Jason or the people who left her exposed.

Drew did not believe saving Lyric would produce the same return.

Lyric would remain personally connected to Rome whether Devens saved her or left her nominated. Removing her would protect Rome’s closest relationship without requiring Lyric to prove that anything had changed.

Drew admitted his own interest in the move.

    Melody trusted him.

Keeping her benefited his personal game.

That bias did not make his argument wrong.

Drew could help Devens gain Melody’s public loyalty while receiving part of the private credit himself.

He also understood the BB Blockbuster setup.

If Melody came down and Rome went up, Jason, Lyric and Rome would enter the competition.

A Jason victory would leave Lyric and Rome nominated.

A Lyric victory would leave Jason and Rome nominated.

Only a Rome victory would remove Rome from danger.

Saving Melody created the cleanest path toward Devens’ primary target while preserving Jason as the fallback.

Drew Corrects Devens About Jason’s Threat Level

Devens initially believed Jason was not coming after the Crossovers.

    Drew corrected him.

According to Drew, Jason had discussed targeting Drew and Angela. Jason later told Devens that Rome wanted to target Devens, Dee and Angela.

Those were separate pieces of information and should not be blended into one target list.

The consistent point was that neither Jason nor Rome could be treated as harmless to the veteran-centered power structure.

Jason had nearly won multiple competitions.

He had publicly fought with Angela.

He had enough anger toward the majority to become dangerous if he survived and gained power.

    Drew wanted Rome out first.

If Rome saved himself, Drew wanted Jason gone next.

Barrett Helps Melody Prepare an Actual Deal

Melody spoke with Barrett before approaching Devens.

She described how isolated she felt and how quickly her trust in Rome, Jason and Lyric had deteriorated.

Rome told Melody she was important to him and then exposed her name while trying to protect himself.

Jason participated in conversations that left Melody vulnerable.

Lyric discussed the week with other people while withholding information from Melody despite their supposed closeness.

Melody realized she had been grouped with people without receiving the protection or information that should have come with being part of their structure.

Barrett gave her the correct advice.

Do not simply ask Devens to save you.

Explain why saving you helps him.

Melody turned her frustration into a transaction.

Melody Delivers the Strongest Veto Pitch

Melody entered the HOH room and told Devens she no longer trusted Rome or Jason.

    She felt burned.

She believed she had been placed at the bottom while the people above her protected themselves.

Melody also made sure Devens understood that she did not hold the nomination against him.

She promised that Devens would not touch the block during her HOH. If another player or twist somehow placed him there, Melody said he would have her vote to stay.

Devens then asked for something immediate.

If he removed Melody and nominated Rome, would she vote Rome out?

    Melody said yes.

That answer separated her campaign from Lyric’s.

    Lyric offered future loyalty.

    Jason offered to become useful.

Melody offered future protection and an immediate vote against the primary target.

Devens did not have to wait for a hypothetical Melody HOH to test the arrangement.

She could begin proving it before his current reign ended.

Melody’s Pivot Is More Believable Than Lyric’s

Lyric was distancing herself from someone who had attempted to protect her.

Melody was distancing herself from people who demonstrated that she was expendable.

That made Melody’s anger easier to believe.

Rome’s actions gave her a legitimate reason to move away.

Melody could still accept the Veto and eventually turn against Devens. One conversation did not make her permanently loyal, and Devens understood that saving her might not buy anything beyond this week.

    It did not need to.

The Veto potentially gave Devens Melody’s vote against Rome, short-term safety if she won the next HOH and a better BB Blockbuster setup.

That was enough to move her ahead.

Kamu, Chuk and Haley Compare Lyric’s Story

Kamu, Chuk and Haley compared what Lyric had told them.

Lyric had approached several people with a similar message: Rome’s gameplay placed her in danger, he deserved to become the replacement nominee and she needed to play independently.

    Kamu had heard it.

    Chuk had heard it.

Haley questioned why Lyric was telling so many people the same details of her game.

The comparison hurt Lyric because the breakup needed to appear natural. Repeating the story gave everyone an opportunity to recognize the pattern.

Instead of looking like someone quietly establishing independence, Lyric looked like someone running a public campaign to prove she was separated.

Kamu presented the expected plan to save Melody and nominate Rome. Chuk and Haley agreed with the structure when he explained it, although Kamu and Drew remained the people most actively driving the Melody push.

The operation was supposed to move Lyric closer to Kamu.

It pushed Kamu closer to saving Melody.

The Toolshed Continues Hiding in Plain Sight

Kamu, Chuk and Haley also discussed the perception that they were working with the returning players.

Kamu’s cover was that nearly the entire house had voted together during Week 1 and could happen to vote together again without a formal alliance existing.

    Privately, the group remained committed.

That was the difference between The Toolshed and the people trying to oppose it.

Rome and Lyric were struggling to conceal one relationship.

The Toolshed was concealing an eight-person voting structure.

Drew gathered information from Rome, Melody and Jason.

    Kamu received Lyric’s campaign.

Chuk and Haley compared the stories.

Dee, Angela and Devens helped determine how the information would be used.

The alliance was large enough to become visible eventually, but its information network was working during Devens’ HOH.

Jason Apologizes and Offers to Become a Minion

Jason entered the HOH room and apologized for calling Devens a liar during the nomination ceremony.

He admitted that he had failed to build a strategic relationship with Devens despite Devens attempting to speak with him. Jason acknowledged that his emotional reaction came from feeling exposed, disliked and isolated.

That part of the conversation was necessary.

Jason needed to accept responsibility before asking Devens for anything.

He then admitted how badly his game had collapsed.

Rome had been his closest relationship.

His connection to the women had been exposed.

He did not believe he had the votes.

Jason responded by offering to become a weapon for the Crossovers.

He said he would target women or anyone else they needed removed and described himself as a possible “little minion.”

    The pitch was terrible.

Jason essentially told the majority that he had no reliable structure, no independent direction and was willing to surrender his game to them.

That did not make him too valuable to evict.

It made him easy to use and equally easy to discard.

    Jason Makes One Strong Argument

Jason did make one strategically sound point.

Rome might be easier to evict if Jason were not sitting beside him.

Some houseguests could view Jason as the more unpredictable competitor and decide to remove him instead. Jason argued that Rome would have fewer paths against Melody or Lyric because the women possessed stronger relationships with potential voters.

    The logic had merit.

The problem was that saving Jason did not create as much value as saving Melody.

Leaving Jason nominated gave Devens a strong competitor capable of defeating Rome in the BB Blockbuster.

Leaving Lyric nominated forced Rome to compete against his showmance.

Saving Melody added another possible vote against Rome.

Jason gave Devens a reason to keep him in the final vote.

He did not give Devens the best reason to use the Veto on him.

Jason Offers to Turn on Rome

Jason told Devens that Rome had discussed targeting Devens, Dee and Angela.

He promised not to nominate Devens and said he would be willing to backdoor Rome if he won power.

Rome wanted Jason to plant rumors to protect him.

Jason was offering to nominate Rome in exchange for his own survival.

That contradiction showed how far Rome’s structure had deteriorated.

Rome viewed Jason as a messenger he could use against Kamu.

Jason viewed Rome as someone he might need to sacrifice to move closer to the majority.

Angela’s Deal Gives Jason One Vote, Not a Coalition

Jason’s HOH pitch followed his earlier agreement with Angela.

Angela promised Jason her vote to stay. In return, Jason agreed not to nominate her for three weeks.

The deal gave Jason one possible vote if he faced Lyric after the BB Blockbuster.

It did not give him control over The Toolshed.

Angela received a future safety promise while remaining protected by the majority. Jason received a conditional vote from one person who could not guarantee what the other alliance members would do.

    Jason needed a coalition.

    He had one transaction.

Those were not the same thing.

Whatever sympathetic television edit Jason eventually received, the live feeds did not show someone playing a winning game. They showed a nominee who exposed his position, admitted he had no numbers and volunteered to become expendable.

    Lyric Makes Her Direct Appeal

Lyric entered the HOH room and asked Devens to use the Veto on her.

She argued that Rome’s gameplay had placed her in danger and that continuing to be associated with him would destroy her position.

Lyric promised Devens loyalty, said she would never nominate him and offered to work with the people around him.

It was a stronger pitch than simply asking for sympathy.

Devens listened but did not commit.

He also pushed back on the idea that Rome had intentionally betrayed Lyric. Devens believed Rome made a normal game move by attempting to protect his allies, even if he handled it poorly and revealed too much.

Devens reassured Lyric that he believed she would remain in the house the following week regardless of how he used the Veto.

That sounded less like a promise to remove her and more like Devens explaining why he felt comfortable leaving her nominated.

Devens Reveals His Current Veto Lean

Devens met with Dee, Angela and Barrett in the HOH room.

He emphasized that the decision could still move before Monday, but explained where he stood at that moment.

    Melody would come down.

    Rome would go up.

Rome would be the first target.

Jason would be the second target if Rome won the BB Blockbuster.

Angela questioned how saving Melody instead of Lyric would affect Devens’ relationship with Rome if Rome survived.

Devens did not believe the relationship could be repaired. He had already broken the original safety promise, and Rome would have every reason to lie back to him.

Dee challenged the idea that using the Veto on Melody would make her loyal.

Devens agreed that it might not.

He was not saving Melody because he believed he owned her game.

He was saving her because she scared him more than Lyric.

Protecting the more dangerous woman gave him at least a chance of creating goodwill while preventing Melody from becoming an unintended backup eviction.

The group agreed on the fixed result.

Both women were expected to survive.

Either Rome or Jason was expected to leave.

    Melody remained Devens’ current lean.

She was not the official Veto recipient yet.

Drew Identifies an Apparent Five-Person Core

Drew returned to Devens and explained how he viewed his position.

Rome’s side still believed Drew was with them. Drew said he allowed them to speak without giving them useful information in return. His role was to learn what the minority planned and prepare Devens’ side before those conversations reached the HOH room.

Drew also addressed concerns that he could switch sides.

He said he would not leave a majority to join a minority.

He then named the people he trusted most: Devens, Barrett, Dee and Angela.

Including Drew, that suggested an apparent five-person core inside the larger Toolshed alliance.

It was not a newly named or formally established alliance.

It was Drew identifying the group he currently trusted not to be persuaded.

    The Toolshed contained eight people.

Drew was already showing that he did not view all eight equally.

Devens Tries to Neutralize Rome’s Liar Campaign

Drew warned that Rome would use Devens’ broken promise against him if he survived.

Devens had already started taking away some of its impact.

He openly told Melody and Jason that he had promised Rome safety and was now considering breaking that promise.

The admission did not erase the lie.

It reduced its value as a future revelation.

Rome could still call Devens dishonest.

He could no longer shock the house by exposing something Devens had already admitted himself.

Rome Prepares a Peace Treaty That Mainly Benefits Rome

Kamu warned Devens about the pitch Rome planned to make.

Rome wanted Devens to use the Veto on Lyric and nominate him instead. Rome intended to frame the offer as a peace treaty or act of trust.

The problem was that Devens already intended to nominate him.

Rome was not offering Devens a meaningful sacrifice.

He was attempting to influence which woman received safety before the inevitable replacement nomination.

Saving Lyric would protect Rome’s closest relationship before the BB Blockbuster. If Rome then won, both members of the showmance would survive.

Saving Melody forced Rome and Lyric to compete beside one another.

Rome’s offer benefited Rome and Lyric more than it benefited Devens.

Devens also remained uncertain about how much of the showmance fallout was authentic. He openly questioned whether Rome had instructed Lyric to tell everyone they were finished.

That uncertainty was enough to make saving Lyric unnecessarily risky.

Rome’s Double-Agent Test Leaks Through Several Paths

Kamu also told Devens about another Rome plan.

Rome wanted to identify who was playing both sides. He told Chuk and Kamu that if he won the next HOH, he would target the three returning players.

Jason had already delivered the same information to Devens.

    The test failed immediately.

Rome gave the same story to several people, and multiple paths carried it back to the HOH.

Instead of identifying one hidden leak, Rome confirmed that his information network was completely compromised.

Devens Explains Why Jason Must Remain Nominated

Devens had already prepared Jason for the possibility of staying on the block.

If Devens used the Veto to nominate Rome, he needed Jason competing in the BB Blockbuster because Jason was the person most capable of defeating him.

Jason did not like it, but he understood the reasoning.

That left Jason in a brutal position.

If he defeated Rome, he helped complete Devens’ plan.

If Rome defeated him, Jason became the backup target.

Jason was being asked to compete for his own survival while also serving as the majority’s weapon against the person it truly wanted gone.

    Kamu Reinforces the Melody Decision

Kamu told Devens that Melody appeared more interested in working with him than targeting him.

Melody identified Drew and Kamu as the two people she trusted most. Kamu believed she would rather move toward whatever they had than return to the people who left her exposed.

Devens agreed that Melody’s relationships with Drew and Kamu appeared legitimate.

Neither treated the Veto as a guarantee of permanent loyalty.

    The reasoning remained practical.

    Melody was never the target.

Devens had to remove someone to nominate Rome.

Saving Melody created the most potential upside.

Devens then repeated the one point he considered nonnegotiable.

If Rome remained on the final block, the alliance had to evict him.

The BB Blockbuster Structure Favors Devens

If Devens removes Melody and nominates Rome, Jason, Lyric and Rome will enter the BB Blockbuster.

If Jason wins, Jason comes down.

    Lyric and Rome remain nominated.

    Rome remains the target.

If Lyric wins, Lyric comes down.

    Jason and Rome remain nominated.

    Rome remains the target.

If Rome wins, Rome comes down.

    Jason and Lyric remain nominated.

    Jason becomes the backup target.

Rome has one path to safety.

    He must personally win.

Lyric cannot save him by winning.

Jason cannot save him by winning.

That is why using the Veto on Melody gives Devens the strongest possible setup.

The Real State of the House Before the Veto Ceremony

Devens had not officially used the Veto.

Melody had become his current choice to come down, but he continued acknowledging that the decision could change before Monday.

Rome remained the expected replacement nominee and primary target.

Jason remained the planned backup if Rome won the BB Blockbuster.

Drew and Kamu were the strongest advocates for saving Melody. Chuk and Haley agreed with the structure when Kamu presented it, while Dee and Angela questioned whether the Veto would actually purchase Melody’s loyalty.

Lyric offered Devens future loyalty, but the strategic use of her public separation from Rome damaged her campaign.

Jason apologized and attempted to make himself useful, but his willingness to become a minion only reinforced how little independent protection he possessed.

Rome planned to use Lyric to reach Kamu.

Kamu carried the plan to Devens.

Rome wanted Jason to plant rumors.

    Jason offered to backdoor Rome.

Rome attempted to test the house for double agents.

The information reached Devens through several people.

Melody began Week 2 believing Four Seasons gave her protection.

By Sunday afternoon, she had recognized that she was near the bottom, negotiated directly with the HOH and moved into the lead to receive the Veto.

The breakup ploy was supposed to make Lyric appear independent.

Instead, it gave Devens another reason to leave her beside Rome.

The Veto ceremony remained the final step.

If Melody came down and Rome went up, every BB Blockbuster outcome would lead back to the same two names.

    Rome first.

    Jason second.

  • Big Brother 28 Day 12 Post-Veto Live Feeds Update: Devens Wins the Veto, Lyric Fights to Come Down and Rome’s Backdoor Is One Ceremony Away

Big Brother 28 Day 12 Post-Veto Live Feeds Update: Devens Wins the Veto, Lyric Fights to Come Down and Rome’s Backdoor Is One Ceremony Away

Big Brother 28 DAY 12 · WEEK 2 · HOH: Rick Devens · NOMS: Jason, Melody, Lyric · POV: Rick Devens

Rick Devens no longer needs anyone else to create Rome’s replacement-nomination seat.

The Week 2 Head of Household won the Power of Veto, placing the entire plan in his own hands. Devens can remove one of his original nominees, name Rome as the replacement and enter Thursday with all seven eligible members of The Toolshed available to complete the backdoor if Rome loses the BB Blockbuster.

The Veto result did not end the week.

    It clarified every remaining path.

Melody began working to convince Devens that saving her was his idea. Lyric separated her immediate survival from Rome long enough to offer Devens safety. Angela, Kamu and Chuk pushed the cleaner strategic choice of removing Melody. Dee promised Lyric that she would protect her regardless of the final block.

Rome encouraged Lyric to campaign but refused to approach Devens again himself. Jason offered Angela three weeks of safety, proposed staging a fake fight and ended the night questioning whether Rome had used him. Mallory moved closer to Melody and Lyric while becoming increasingly bothered by Barrett’s time with Dee.

    Devens has the Veto.

Rome is one ceremony away from the block.

The larger story is what will remain of Rome’s side if he leaves.

Big Brother 28 Week 2 House Status

    Head of Household: Devens

Original nominees: Jason, Lyric and Melody

    Power of Veto winner: Devens

Expected Veto use: Devens is expected to remove either Melody or Lyric

Intended replacement nominee and target: Rome

    Primary expected Veto recipient: Melody

    Possible alternate Veto recipient: Lyric

Primary backup targets if Rome wins the BB Blockbuster: Jason, Lyric or Melody depending on which nominee Devens saves

    Majority alliance: The Toolshed

The Toolshed members: Dee, Devens, Angela, Barrett, Drew, Kamu, Chuk and Haley

Week 2 Have-Nots: Barrett, Jason, Kamu, Lyric and Rome

    Established showmance: Rome and Lyric

BB Time Capsule punishment: Angela remains the Hard-Boiled Detective

The Veto ceremony is expected to create a final nomination group of Jason, Lyric and Rome if Devens follows the cleanest version of the plan.

Devens Wins the Power of Veto

The feeds returned shortly after the competition and the result became clear.

    Devens had won.

That outcome removed the final person between the Head of Household and his intended replacement nominee.

Before the competition, Devens needed Jason, Lyric, Melody, Angela or Barrett to use the Veto. Every nominee had an obvious reason to save themselves. Angela was loyal to the majority. Barrett had already considered throwing the competition to Melody.

Devens no longer needs their cooperation.

He controls which nominee comes down.

He controls who takes that nominee’s place.

He controls whether Melody or Lyric receives the protection that could reshape their relationship with him.

Rome still has the BB Blockbuster.

Everything before that competition now belongs to Devens.

Jason Comes Within Reach of Saving Himself

Post-competition conversations indicated that Jason came close to winning.

The houseguests believed he may have slowed down or checked Devens’ position before Devens completed the final action and secured the Veto.

The exact mechanics will become clearer when the competition airs.

    The consequence is already clear.

Jason had an opportunity to guarantee his safety and missed it.

Winning would have removed him from every possible final-block combination. It would have forced Devens to nominate Rome beside Melody and Lyric. It would have given Jason a public competition victory after his confrontation with Angela and the collapse of his credibility inside the majority.

    Instead, Jason remains nominated.

    He remains dependent on Devens.

    He remains uncertain about Rome.

He remains exposed beside whichever two people survive the Veto ceremony and BB Blockbuster.

The Veto Decision Becomes Melody Versus Lyric

Devens is not seriously considering removing Jason.

The decision is between Melody and Lyric.

Melody wants Devens to save her.

Lyric offered Devens safety if he used the Veto on her.

Devens told Lyric that he believed her more than his other two nominees.

That response gave Lyric legitimate hope.

It did not make saving her the better move.

Saving Melody Is the Cleaner Move

If Devens saves Melody, the nominees become Jason, Lyric and Rome.

Rome loses the BB Blockbuster, Rome leaves.

Rome wins the BB Blockbuster, Jason and Lyric remain.

That result still destroys part of Rome’s structure.

Jason has been one of his most visible allies.

    Lyric is his showmance.

    Either eviction weakens him.

If Devens saves Lyric, the nominees become Jason, Melody and Rome.

Rome wins the BB Blockbuster, Jason and Melody remain.

That vote is less predictable because Melody has relationships with Mallory, Lyric and Barrett while also carrying more strategic agency than Lyric. Melody was already considered a backup target and remains disliked by Haley.

Saving Lyric could result in the majority losing Melody after Rome saves himself.

Saving Melody guarantees that Rome’s closest emotional structure remains represented on the block.

    Angela understood the difference.

    Kamu and Chuk understood it.

    The correct move is Melody.

Melody Tries to Make Devens Believe It Was His Idea

Melody told Mallory that she wanted to pull an “inception” on Devens.

She did not want to demand the Veto.

She wanted Devens to reach the conclusion that removing her was his own strategic idea.

    The argument already exists.

Rome excluded Melody while trying to secure safety for himself, Lyric and Jason.

    Melody no longer trusts Rome.

    She wants Jason gone.

She can be separated from the broken opposition without immediately becoming part of The Toolshed.

Devens may believe saving Melody resets their relationship.

Melody can accept the protection without forgetting who nominated her.

Before the competition, she privately discussed targeting him.

The Veto can change her position.

It does not automatically change her intentions.

    Lyric Fights for Herself

    Lyric eventually approached Devens directly.

She promised him safety if he removed her from the block.

Devens told her that he believed her more than Jason or Melody.

That conversation represented a meaningful shift in Lyric’s game.

Her position had been defined by Rome.

Her safety had been treated as part of Rome’s safety.

Her relationships had been filtered through the showmance.

After Devens won the Veto, Lyric made it clear that she wanted to remain in the house even if Rome took her place on the block.

She did not stop loving Rome.

She stopped treating his immediate survival as more important than her own.

    Dee Promises to Keep Lyric

Dee told Lyric that she would protect her regardless of who sat beside her.

That promise gave Lyric a connection to the majority she had not previously possessed.

    Rome could offer emotional loyalty.

    He could not offer votes.

    Dee could.

Lyric remains useful to the majority because she is not considered one of the opposition’s primary strategists. Without Rome, she could become an available number who feels betrayed by one side and protected by the other.

That is the opportunity in front of Lyric.

She does not need to join The Toolshed.

She needs to prove she can exist without Rome.

    Rome Sends Lyric to Devens

Rome encouraged Lyric to ask Devens for the Veto.

He refused to speak with Devens again himself.

Rome also said he would be upset if Devens saved Melody instead of Lyric.

    The frustration makes emotional sense.

    Lyric remains loyal to him.

Melody has moved away from him.

Strategically, it proves why Devens should remove Melody.

Rome wants the Veto used on the person closest to him.

Devens should use it on the person Rome abandoned.

Rome knows he is the replacement target.

He knows Devens controls the decision.

He has still decided that Lyric must perform the campaign while he refuses to return to the HOH room.

Rome is asking Lyric to protect both of them from a position in which he can no longer protect her.

    Rome Continues Trusting Drew

Rome encouraged Drew to pursue a closer relationship with Melody.

He argued that the visible showmance between himself and Lyric could provide cover for Drew and Melody.

Rome also revealed that his real name is Jack.

The personal disclosure showed that Rome continues trusting Drew despite the information moving out of his side.

Drew had already told Dee and Devens about Four Seasons.

He had already reported Rome’s potential targets.

He had already explained how Melody and Yash were moving away from Rome.

Rome responded by giving Drew more information and encouraging him to build another relationship inside the collapsing group.

Drew remains protected because people continue trusting him after he has reported their conversations.

That protection will last until they compare what they told him.

Melody, Mallory and Lyric Attempt to Rebuild

Melody, Mallory and Lyric spent time together and began repairing their trio.

The three women had been separated by Rome’s priorities, distrust surrounding Drew and Barrett and the pressure created by Devens’ nominations.

    Melody felt abandoned.

    Lyric remained attached to Rome.

Mallory no longer trusted the people playing the middle.

The Veto result gave them a reason to reconnect.

    Rome may leave.

    Jason is isolated.

Drew and Barrett are increasingly tied to the power structure.

The women may need one another after the men surrounding their original group either leave or fully expose where they stand.

    The trio is not stable.

It is one of the only possible foundations remaining outside The Toolshed.

Melody and Mallory Want Jason Gone

Melody and Mallory discussed Jason as if he were already separated from them.

    They wanted him out.

Mallory later told Barrett that she preferred Jason leaving over Rome because Rome was more predictable.

That preference directly conflicts with Devens’ backdoor plan.

It also reveals why Rome’s side cannot organize a defense.

    Rome wants Lyric protected.

Lyric wants to stay even if Rome goes up.

    Melody wants Jason evicted.

Mallory sees Rome as a predictable shield.

Jason questions whether Rome used him.

    The Toolshed wants Rome.

The opposition wants different things from one another.

Jason Offers Angela Three Weeks of Safety

Jason approached Angela with a deal.

He offered her three weeks of safety if she voted to keep him.

He also suggested staging another argument between them, this time as a fake fight designed to hide their agreement.

    Angela rejected the fake confrontation.

Jason recognized that their public hostility could theoretically create cover.

He failed to account for the trust required to make that plan believable.

    He had attacked Angela publicly.

He had damaged his relationship with her.

He had accused the game around their confrontation of being manipulated.

He now wanted Angela to accept a promise he may not remain in the house long enough to honor.

    The idea was creative.

    The offer was not reliable.

Jason Questions Whether Rome Used Him

Jason later confronted a quieter problem.

He was no longer sure Rome had been honest with him.

Jason worried that Rome had treated him as protection rather than as a genuine partner.

    Rome denied it.

Jason later spoke privately to the cameras and admitted that the doubt remained.

That uncertainty may be more damaging to Rome than the public backdoor.

Jason fought with Angela because he believed he was defending himself against the majority.

He entered the Veto needing safety from Devens.

He ended the night questioning the person who was supposed to be standing beside him.

Rome’s group is not being destroyed only by The Toolshed.

It is being destroyed by the realization that Rome placed Lyric above everyone else.

Taylor Makes the Argument for Keeping Rome

Taylor suggested that Rome could remain useful as a shield.

She questioned whether Week 2 was too early to remove him.

    The argument has strategic merit.

    Rome is visible.

    Rome is emotional.

Rome has been identified as a leader.

Rome will continue attracting attention if he remains.

Removing him allows the veterans and their closest allies to consolidate control while the middle loses one of the largest targets in front of them.

    Taylor identified the long-term danger.

She did not create the numbers required to stop it.

The Toolshed had already invested the entire week in Rome’s eviction.

A shield argument is not enough without a counterstructure.

    Dee Checks Kamu’s Vote

Dee spoke directly with Kamu about removing Rome.

She acknowledged the possibility that he might be uncomfortable losing another man this early.

Kamu said he was willing to do it.

The conversation closed one of the few potential cracks in the majority vote.

Dee did not assume Kamu would follow.

    She asked.

    She received confirmation.

That is how The Toolshed continues functioning despite its size.

Its members repeatedly check the votes required to complete the plan.

    Chuk and Yash Prefer Lyric

Chuk and Yash discussed what they would do if the original nominations remained unchanged.

They preferred keeping Lyric over Jason or Melody.

Yash believed Lyric was unlikely to target them.

That logic gives Lyric a strong survival path if Rome wins the BB Blockbuster.

She is viewed as less strategic.

She is viewed as less personally dangerous.

She is viewed as someone whose game may collapse without Rome.

    Jason has created conflict.

    Melody has shown more independence.

Lyric’s greatest weakness may become the reason she survives.

Mallory Becomes Increasingly Focused on Barrett and Dee

Mallory became upset about Barrett spending time with Dee.

The reaction appeared personal, but the personal concern is connected to real game information.

    Barrett is close to Dee.

    Barrett is inside The Toolshed.

Barrett has attempted to maintain relationships with people outside the alliance.

Mallory eventually received private time with him and explained that she wanted Jason out instead of Rome.

Barrett promised her safety if he won HOH.

He continues giving people individual reassurance without revealing the structure protecting him.

He has promised help to Melody.

He has promised safety to Mallory.

He remains loyal to the majority.

The promises are useful until two people expect him to honor them at the same time.

Angela Remains in the Center of Everything

Angela continued wearing the Hard-Boiled Detective punishment.

She curled into the shell of the costume like a turtle.

She lay on the lounge floor.

She later ate a snack from inside it in the backyard.

The costume has turned her into a walking joke.

It has not removed her from the center of the game.

    Yash spoke with her.

Taylor presented the shield argument to her.

    Jason offered her a deal.

Devens received her advice about the Veto.

Angela remains protected, informed and emotionally unpredictable.

    The punishment changed her appearance.

It did not reduce her influence.

    Devens Checks the Votes

Devens told his allies that the only way the plan fails is if they refuse to vote Rome out.

    That is the correct concern.

    The Toolshed contains eight members.

Devens cannot cast a normal eviction vote as HOH.

The remaining seven members can provide the seven votes required to evict Rome.

The alliance does not need Taylor.

    It does not need Yash.

    It does not need Mallory.

    It does not need LaTrice.

It needs Dee, Angela, Barrett, Drew, Kamu, Chuk and Haley to remain unified.

    The structure gives Devens confidence.

It also makes every internal hesitation more important than any campaign Rome can make to the outsiders.

Rome and Lyric End the Night Together

Rome and Lyric continued their romantic banter late into the night.

They told each other they loved one another.

    The relationship remains emotionally intact.

Its game has collapsed around them.

Lyric wants to stay even if Rome becomes the replacement nominee.

Rome wants Lyric saved but cannot provide the Veto.

    Dee has offered Lyric protection.

    Kamu has coached her campaign.

    Devens has listened to her.

The majority has not broken the showmance emotionally.

It has separated their love from their ability to protect one another.

The Real State of the House After the Veto

Devens has complete control over the Veto ceremony.

Rome is expected to become the replacement nominee.

Melody remains the correct person to remove.

Lyric is fighting for herself without completely separating from Rome.

Jason came close to safety and now questions whether Rome ever treated him as a real ally.

Mallory, Melody and Lyric are attempting to rebuild while disagreeing over who should leave.

Taylor sees the danger of removing a shield but lacks the votes to stop it.

Barrett continues receiving trust from people outside the alliance while promising them future safety.

Drew continues collecting personal information from people whose games he has already exposed.

Dee continues securing the votes and relationships Devens needs.

Angela remains at the center of the house despite spending the week trapped inside an egg costume.

The Toolshed has seven eligible votes.

    Rome has one remaining competition.

The Veto result did not officially complete the backdoor.

It placed every remaining step in front of Devens.

Day 12 began with Rome unable to play for the Veto.

It ended with Devens wearing it around his neck, Lyric campaigning for herself and Jason wondering whether the alliance he fought to protect ever existed.

  • Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule: Angela Wins But Loses Competition, Stuck In Egg Suit For 7 Days

Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule: Angela Wins But Loses Competition, Stuck In Egg Suit For 7 Days

Big Brother 28: BB Time Capsule Angela Wins But Loses Competition, Stuck In Egg Suit For 7 Days

Week 2 of Big Brother 28 just delivered one of the most chaotic — and hilarious — moments of the season so far. Angela pulled off a major win by securing the first BB Time Capsule of the season, but the victory came with a brutal catch: she lost the competition itself, earning her a seven-day egg suit punishment that has the entire house and BB fandom talking.

Big Brother 28 BB Time Capsule

    Only in Big Brother.

What Is the BB28 Time Capsule Twist?

Big Brother 28 introduced the BB Time Capsule as one of this season’s signature twists. The twist gives one houseguest a unique advantage — a secret power, message, or game-changing benefit that can be used at a critical point in the game. Winning the Time Capsule is considered a major coup this early in the season, as it could prove decisive when the game heats up in the coming weeks.

Angela became the first houseguest to win the BB28 Time Capsule, giving her a potential lifeline that no one else in the house currently has. In a game built on uncertainty, that kind of hidden advantage is invaluable.

The Catch: Seven Days In An Egg Suit

Here’s where it gets interesting. Despite securing the Time Capsule advantage, Angela finished last in the competition itself — triggering one of Big Brother‘s iconic punishments. Angela must now wear a full egg suit costume for seven consecutive days, complete with the costume’s signature oversized shell, tie, and trench coat look that has already become a meme among BB28 fans on social media.

The punishment is more than just a fashion statement. Wearing a costume for an entire week limits mobility, draws constant attention in the house, and makes it incredibly hard to have private game conversations. In a game where whispers and side deals win championships, being literally dressed as an egg is a serious strategic disadvantage.

Does the Egg Suit Hurt Angela’s Game?

The real question isn’t whether Angela looks ridiculous in the egg suit — she absolutely does, and she knows it. The real question is whether the Time Capsule win is worth the seven days of punishment she has to endure to keep it.

On one hand, Angela now holds a secret advantage that no other houseguest has. That kind of power can flip an eviction, save her from the block, or give her a critical edge at exactly the right moment. On the other hand, a week in a costume puts a giant target on her back. She becomes the center of attention at a time when laying low would be far more strategically sound.

Alliances are forming fast in the BB28 house, nominations are being locked in, and the Veto competition looms large. Angela will need to navigate all of it while waddling around the house in a full egg suit.

  • Who Won HoH? Big Brother 28 Rick Devens HoH Win Shocks the House!

Who Won HoH? Big Brother 28 Rick Devens HoH Win Shocks the House!

Who won HoH? Big Brother 28 RICK DEVENS WINS IN WEEK 2!

Big Brother 28 Week 2 HoH: Survivor Legend Rick Devens Takes Power!

Who Won HoH Big Brother 28

The Big Brother 28 house was just turned completely upside down. In a stunning Week 2 Head of Household competition, Survivor legend Rick Devens clutched out the win, grabbing the most powerful position in the house.

If you thought Week 1 was chaotic, buckle up. Devens is officially running the game, and the live feeds are already absolutely melting down. Here is the full breakdown of what this HoH win means, who is in immediate danger, and how this changes the entire trajectory of BB28.

The Survivor & Big Brother Crossover Event of the Century

Let’s address the elephant in the diary room: the blatant Survivor and Big Brother crossover is happening right before our eyes, and it is completely dominating the narrative.

Devens isn’t just playing; he’s bringing that high-energy, idol-hunting, aggressive Survivor mentality into a game that usually requires a slow burn. Seeing a CBS reality titan secure power this early shifts the target onto the other big personalities in the house. The lines are being drawn, and the traditional BB players are realizing they might need to band together to survive the reality TV veterans.

The Julie Chen Bombshell & The New PR Firm

Beyond the gameplay, there is massive outside-the-house drama brewing. Host Julie Chen Moonves recently “said the quiet part out loud,” sparking intense debate among the fandom.

Production has officially acquired a brand new, high-profile PR firm specifically tasked with rebranding and selling this current iteration of Big Brother. Let’s be real—a lot of longtime fans, including myself, are not thrilled with this new direction.

Instead of letting the raw, unfiltered social experiment speak for itself, the show is leaning heavily into highly manufactured storylines and aggressive marketing tactics. Devens winning HoH is exactly the kind of “headline moment” this new PR firm wants, but it begs the question: is BB28 becoming too produced for its own good?

How the Power Shift Changes Everything

With Rick Devens officially locking down the Week 2 Head of Household bedroom, the house dynamics have abruptly fractured, putting a tight-knit faction directly in the line of fire. The live feeds reveal that the overarching target is shifting toward the trio of Rome Seymour, Lyric Medeiros, and Jason De Puy, alongside their close ally Melody Morris.

As a veteran of the Crossovers alliance, Devens is heavily incentivized to protect the reality TV veterans and dismantle the opposition. Jason is arguably in the most immediate danger; his aggressive, admittedly sloppy campaigning to explicitly target the Survivor and Big Brother legends has completely blown up his spot. Word has travelled back to the veterans, making him an easy option for Devens to nominate without drawing undue house friction.

Meanwhile, Rome and Lyric’s budding showmance has quickly painted a massive bullseye on their backs. Devens knows that letting a powerful couple integrate with outsiders like Melody—who recently leaked strategic info to disrupt the veterans’ plans—is a recipe for disaster down the line. Whether it is an outright nomination or a backdoor play, these four are facing the absolute heat of Devens’ basket.

An HoH win this early defines the alliances for the rest of the summer. Devens now holds all the cards. The houseguests who ignored him last week are suddenly pitching final-two deals, and the live feeds are showing frantic strategy sessions in every room.

Will Devens use this power to build a dominant alliance, or will the curse of the Week 2 HoH make him the biggest target in Week 3?

What do you think of Rick Devens winning HoH? Is the Survivor takeover ruining the BB vibe, or are you loving the chaos? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
