The Big Brother 28 house woke up after Kamu’s nomination ceremony with the same backdoor plan in place but far less control over the story surrounding it.
Jason already knows he is the target.
LaTrice is growing tired of the house’s fake reassurance.
Kamu and Drew are now convinced Jason may possess the BB Time Capsule power, while the actual winner, Devens, remains protected by the house’s incorrect assumptions.
The result is a Week 3 plan that may still succeed but is becoming increasingly paranoid before the Power of Veto players have even been selected.
Kamu wanted to keep Jason calm, deny him a guaranteed place in the veto competition and surprise him at the veto meeting. Instead, Jason identified the plan almost immediately, the nominees understand they are being used as pieces, and Kamu is beginning to search for an imaginary power that is already sitting inside his own alliance.
LaTrice Is Done With the Fake Reassurance
LaTrice reached a visible breaking point as the Houseguests began moving around the house.
She asked Jason for a hug before telling him and Melody that she was tired of the fake behavior surrounding her nomination.
Her frustration is justified.
Kamu placed LaTrice on the block while presenting her as a pawn who should remain calm and trust the plan. Several Houseguests have continued talking to her as though nothing meaningful happened, even though the majority decided she was expendable enough to risk before Jason ever touched the block.
LaTrice is expected to remain loyal to people who did not protect her, accept reassurance from players who approved her nomination and avoid reacting strongly enough to make herself an easier target.
That is the standard trap created for a pawn.
The majority wants LaTrice frightened enough to remain cooperative but not angry enough to expose the relationships and information she possesses.
Her statement about being tired of the fake behavior showed that the emotional part of the plan is beginning to fail.
Kamu may not want LaTrice evicted, but he has given her every reason to question the people claiming to be on her side.
Jason’s Read Has Changed the Energy of the Week
Jason remained off the initial block, but nobody is pretending he feels safe.
He correctly identified that Kamu is attempting to backdoor him and has already discussed the plan with LaTrice, Taylor and other Houseguests.
That awareness changes how every conversation around him is interpreted.
When Kamu speaks with Jason, Jason knows the real plan.
When the nominees are reassured, Jason knows why they were selected.
When the house speculates about the Power of Veto, Jason understands that his name is the reason the competition matters so much.
Kamu wanted the element of surprise.
He no longer has it.
The only remaining advantage is that Jason still may not be selected to play in the veto competition. If his chip is not drawn and nobody selects him through Houseguest’s Choice, Jason cannot stop the replacement nomination before the veto meeting.
That is the difference between exposing a plan and defeating it.
Jason sees the entire structure.
He still needs the right competition draw or enough social influence to make someone refuse to use the veto.
Neither outcome is guaranteed.
Kamu and Drew Believe Jason May Have the Power
Kamu and Drew began theorizing that Jason could be the person holding the BB Time Capsule power.
Drew argued that the best possible outcome would be Jason becoming nervous about the replacement nomination and admitting to Kamu that he possesses an advantage.
Kamu agreed with the basic idea.
The theory is wrong.
Devens won the Diamond Power of Veto and has only told Dee.
That makes the conversation far more revealing than ordinary speculation.
Kamu is the HOH, Drew is one of the most connected members of the Toolshed, and neither one knows that their own ally possesses the most disruptive secret advantage in the house.
They are looking across the house at Jason while the power is sitting directly beside them.
The mistake benefits Devens in several ways.
Suspicion surrounding Jason reinforces the argument that he needs to leave.
Kamu may interpret any confidence from Jason as evidence that he has protection.
Drew may continue watching Jason for behavior that appears unusual.
Meanwhile, Devens can participate in the speculation without becoming the focus of it.
Jason’s Diary Room Time Fuels the Wrong Theory
Kamu and Drew’s suspicion appears to be based partly on Jason’s behavior and the amount of time associated with his Diary Room activity.
That is weak evidence, but Big Brother Houseguests rarely need much evidence once a theory benefits the plan they already want.
Jason is the target.
Therefore, anything unusual about Jason becomes proof that targeting him is necessary.
If Jason appears calm, he must have a power.
If Jason appears nervous, he must know he is being backdoored.
If Jason speaks openly, he is dangerous.
If Jason remains quiet, he must be hiding something.
Kamu and Drew have created an interpretation in which nearly every possible reaction confirms their original conclusion.
That is not investigation.
It is confirmation bias.
Jason may understand the backdoor, but he does not hold the BB Time Capsule power. The Houseguests concentrating their suspicion on him are unknowingly protecting the player who does.
Devens’ Secret Is Working Better Than Kamu’s Backdoor
The contrast between Devens and Kamu is becoming one of the clearest differences in the house.
Kamu attempted to hide Jason’s backdoor.
Jason exposed it almost immediately.
Devens is hiding the Diamond Power of Veto.
Kamu and Drew are actively blaming someone else.
Devens told only Dee, resisted expanding the circle and allowed the house to create its own theories. That is how a secret advantage should be managed.
He does not need to convince everyone that he failed the BB Time Capsule challenge.
He needs enough uncertainty for the house to stop looking directly at him.
Jason has become the perfect distraction because he is already the target and already known as a capable competitor.
Every minute Kamu spends wondering whether Jason has the power is another minute he is not examining Devens.
The irony is brutal.
Kamu’s HOH is being used to protect Devens from Jason while Kamu remains unaware that Devens possesses a power capable of overturning a future HOH’s nominations.
Drew Continues Operating Between Strategy and Entertainment
Drew also joked that he had hoped to wake up and see someone wearing a punishment costume because that would have confirmed the BB Time Capsule’s outcome more clearly.
When nobody appeared in a costume, the house had to consider the possibility that someone won a power instead.
That deduction is reasonable.
The conclusion attached to it remains wrong.
Drew’s ability to move between joking conversations and serious strategic analysis remains one of his strongest social tools. He can make the room comfortable while collecting information and helping Kamu process the week.
The danger is that Drew is becoming involved in nearly every theory.
He is connected to Kamu through the Handymen, Barrett through the Jugglers, Melody through their personal relationship and the Toolshed through the majority.
He is also beginning to participate more visibly in the decisions surrounding the week.
Drew’s position remains strong.
The more often his name appears beside the HOH during important strategic conversations, the harder it becomes for him to pretend he is merely floating between groups.
LaTrice’s Frustration Could Become Strategically Valuable
LaTrice being tired of the fake behavior matters only if she turns that frustration into clearer gameplay.
She has enough information to understand that several relationships she trusted have not provided protection.
Angela has already told Kamu and Haley that her real loyalty is with them rather than LaTrice and Taylor.
Kamu placed LaTrice on the block.
The Toolshed approved the plan.
Jason has openly explained that LaTrice is being used to create his backdoor.
LaTrice does not need another emotional promise.
She needs to compare the promises she received with the outcome she experienced.
She is nominated.
Angela is safe.
Dee is safe.
Devens is safe and secretly empowered.
Haley is safe.
Drew is safe.
Kamu holds the HOH.
That is the real hierarchy of the house.
LaTrice is close enough to the majority to be used for information and votes but not protected enough to avoid becoming a pawn.
Recognizing that distinction could finally push her toward Taylor, Jason, Mallory, Lyric and the other players outside the Toolshed.
The problem is that Jason has already discussed allowing LaTrice to leave if it saves Mallory.
Even the outsiders are treating one another as disposable before they have formed anything capable of challenging the majority.
Kamu’s Week Is Becoming More Complicated Than Necessary
Kamu could have nominated Jason directly.
The majority had the votes.
Jason would still have received the BB Blockbuster as a final opportunity to save himself.
Instead, Kamu nominated LaTrice, Lyric and Mallory and created several separate problems.
LaTrice feels betrayed.
Lyric has become expendable immediately after Rome’s eviction.
Mallory knows she is the backup target.
Jason knows he is being backdoored.
Kamu believes Jason may possess a power he does not have.
The actual power holder is inside Kamu’s alliance and has not trusted him with the information.
The plan may still work because the Toolshed possesses enough numbers and competition paths to force the outcome.
That does not make the process intelligent.
It means a large majority can survive unnecessary complications.
Where the Week Stands
Kamu remains the Week 3 Head of Household.
LaTrice, Lyric and Mallory remain nominated.
Jason remains the intended replacement nominee.
Mallory remains the backup target if Jason cannot be nominated or survives the BB Blockbuster.
The upcoming Power of Veto draw is the most important variable.
Jason needs his chip selected or a Houseguest’s Choice invitation.
Kamu needs Jason excluded from the competition or defeated.
The nominees need to decide whether their safest individual move is also helping the majority eliminate someone who could eventually target it.
Devens secretly holds the Diamond Power of Veto.
Dee remains the only Houseguest who knows the truth.
Kamu and Drew currently suspect Jason may possess the BB Time Capsule advantage.
Final Thoughts
The morning after nominations exposed how little secrecy remains around Kamu’s Week 3 plan.
Jason knows he is the backdoor target.
LaTrice is tired of the fake reassurance.
The nominees understand that the week is not truly centered on them, but they are the ones absorbing all the immediate risk.
Kamu and Drew are now searching for the BB Time Capsule power in the wrong direction.
Their suspicion of Jason could make the backdoor feel even more urgent, but it also shows how completely Devens has controlled the information surrounding his advantage.
Kamu believes he is eliminating a threat to the Toolshed.
He does not realize one of the most powerful people inside that alliance has hidden a six-week Diamond Power of Veto from him.
Jason’s backdoor has been exposed.
Devens’ power has not.
That difference is why Kamu controls this week while Devens may control the next six.
